A tragedy had struck. . . .A telephone call had come in the afternoon hours with the awful and tragic news that Lynn’s parents had been killed in a freak accident. She was devastated because she hadn’t seen her parents in four years. Why, with Lonnie’s teaching job at the high school, night college and caring for the children had made her break a lot of promises of returning home for a visit with them. Now, this telephone call had struck a painful chord in her heart. The frantic voice on the other end of the telephone line had been the voice of her best friend Rhonda. The words were still ringing inside her ears. . . .You must come home immediately. . . .arrangements have to be made. . . .I am so very, very sorry Lynn. Lonnie and she had moved away for Connecticut to make a fresh start and a new life. Painful and terrible visions started running through her head and she felt that she wouldn’t be able to go back-wouldn’t be able to face it, and especially after finding out that her parents had died such horrible deaths. She began weeping softly, but knew that she had to go back-back to Connecticut for her parents’ funerals. The tears began streaming heavily down her face, but little did she know that this was just the beginning of “When the Crying starts.”
