About the Book

Jesus said, “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. (Matt. 10:32-33) So when others ask you which god do you worship, what do you say? We are instructed by Jesus Christ to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” (Lk. 10:27-28, Matt. 22:37-39, Mk. 12:30-31) That’s a whole lot of love God requires from us, and most of us do not even love ourselves that much. 16. What was the last positive, mental, spiritual thing you did for yourself? In Jewish philosophy, the body is believed to consist of three zones: eyeshearts, hands-feet, and ears-mouth; look closely and you will notice that these three areas of the body are also areas that perform or the action areas of the body. The fi rst three parts of the great commandment requires man to perform and to perform in a certain way. What the eyes witness about God, the heart puts to memory. (Lk. 24:31-32) The hands shall do the work that the feet shall carry them to; (Matt. 9:25) and what the ears hear, the mouth shall speak (Matt. 28:20). Jesus ends “the great commandment with a ‘we should love our neighbor as ourselves.’” You know, this is a saying that many Christians still have trouble understanding today. Why? Maybe because we really only know how to love conditionally, and what we need to learn how to do, is to love unconditionally. Unconditional love requires the same type of effort that Jesus Christ says we need to have in order to truly worship God, and to love ourselves and our neighbors. Once again though if you are still hiding it’s not going to work, love requires total commitment, 24/7/365. Love does not mean you are not tired of the circumstances; love means you are still willing to work on whatever it is that needs to be worked on.
