About the Book

I dedicate this book to my little brother, because I know he has struggled in his life and he still followed my footsteps by becoming a good person and by graduating from a university. He is now a teacher and a mentor to young kids in New York. I really want him to know that I am extremely proud of him for all he has accomplished in his life so far. People like him make the world a better place to live in, because he makes kids believe in themselves. Helping people from the heart is the greatest gift one human being can give another, and that’s what life is all about. My brother, keep growing into the beautiful man you are, and know that I am always here for you, no matter what happens between, around or to us in this lifetime.

About the Author

The author was born on July 19, 1976. His mother was murdered at the age of 23. At that time, the author was taken in by his aunt and now mother. At a pivotal age of 13yrs. old, he decided to play basketball and never stopped. He attended high school where he not only along with his teammates, won the state basketball championship, he also met one of the most influential people in his life today, and that person has guided him throughout his high school, college and his personal life. She helped him become a graduate of high school 1995 and most importantly become a man. In the same year he was recruited and accepted to a college. During this time, he helped take his team to the elite 8, which they lost to another university, his senior year he led his conference in scoring averaging 22.1 points. And in 1999, the author got his Bachelor of Arts degree. Even though the NBA didn’t draft him, it never stopped him from achieving his professional goals. And now he is a professional European basketball player. Not just a basketball player, but also a man with a plan. While focused on books and ball, he still upheld his responsibility of providing for his family. Financially and otherwise. Not just helping his family but helping outsiders as well. The author has a gift for helping others achieve their goals why he struggles to achieve his.
