About the Book
Journey of a Sacred Heart is a personal, six year spiritual sojourn through change during the war in Iraq and beyond. It is a time shared through art and journal as I learned to shadow dance with the unseen aspects of my personality. Creative, imaginative people are not always aware of the world within the content we make. Our wisdom, innocence and originality are uninhibitedly expressed in many mediums; through photography, the stroke of a paint brush or flow of a pen. Boundaries are impressed, shadows shared as we plan our futures in depth and linear fashion. The sense of play we create, becomes a sketch of the hero’s journey. It is a time of verve. Art is a depth, subtle partner, capable of shadow dancing with the most tortured soul. Enclosed within this small work are my insights as I traveled the road from loss to recovery. It is an INK TRAIL of a sacred heart.
