About the Book

Shad Cooper is not the man he appears to be. Fifty years after the fact, his orderly, comfortable existence is suddenly threatened when a retired detective imperils his future with the determination to reveal his criminal past and fraudulent identity. As Shad fights to prevent exposure and to keep both his freedom and his fiancée, Ruth, he faces harrowing obstacles. About the Author

Born in Germany, the author grew up bilingually in La Jolla, California. As an executive in the pharmaceutical industry, he spent more than twenty-five years working and traveling throughout Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He has published three nonfiction titles and two children’s books, as well as the novel Shad’s Awakening. His visits to more than seventy countries have given him unique insights and understanding of different cultures and environments. He is currently working on his next novel. He and his wife reside in Fort Worth, Texas, and La Jolla.
