Anthology of Poetry

About the Book

I put this book together in 2010, as a memento of the Poetry Class of 2009, consisting of the members of the Senior Center of Calimesa, California. The seniors wrote from their hearts as they progressed in expressing themselves in poetry. I really enjoyed teaching this class.

About the Author

I have taught English composition and creative writing for 17 years, and this was the first class I taught in writing poetry. It taught me something about human nature, and that is that everyone has a poem inside of them; it just has to come out. I got my Master's Degree in English Composition in 2001, and I really enjoy teaching, for it is through writing that a person's personality comes out.
