About the Author
Dawner of the First Light is author Kyrinn Synthea Eis’ first published novel. Shi has been an avid writer from the age of thirteen. In addition to crafting a six thousand year story arc for hir yet unpublished Urutsk Cycle, Shi has developed a role-playing system, and begun bringing glimpses of Urutsk to a wide and varied audience. Kyrinn sites Edgar Allen Poe, Howard Philips Lovecraft, Harlan Ellison, and Gene Wolfe as hir main literary influences. Hir father, a noted international journalist and language Professor, saturated the environment with media at all hours, clearly influencing not only hir proficiency with the language, but also hir cynical view on mass media. An unabashed paradox, Kyrinn’s diverse and scandalous interests, as well as hir far-ranging studies in such areas as the occult, linguistics, and alternative lifestyles are tempered by hir fiery devotion to Christ. Shi has described hirself as the Lord’s Sheepdog, and only hopes to be included in the fold. Kyrinn is an agent and representative of the October Agency, a consultancy in Miami, FL., where shi makes hir residence, and works as a bodyguard. Shi is a friend to all cats.
