About the Book

About the Author

Malcolm Macdonald emigrated to the United States in 1963, after serving as a captain in the British Army, followed by the start of an advertising career in Shell Mex and BP. He formed a real estate company leasing and owning apartments in Manhattan before moving to Puerto Rico, leasing cars for Budget Rent-a-Car. In 1978 he joined the patent and legal department of Bell Labs and, on the restructuring of AT&T, was promoted to Manager of Trade Shows for AT&T International, and then to managing the West Coast Real Estate for AT&T Information Systems. In 1982, Malcolm accepted a position at Colgate Palmolive as their first Director of Real Estate. Malcolm published his first book of poems in 1978. The present collection includes poems written for Kitchell Memorial Presbyterian Church, many of them recited at Restland Memorial Chapel in East Hanover at their annual midnight Christmas service. Pam Hasegawa was born in New York City, and adopted twelve days later. She grew up in various neighborhoods of the city, and after living in several states, her parents settled in Illinois where she attended Barrington High School. Pam graduated from Wheaton College and moved to Los Angeles, where she taught for six years at Wilson High, in El Sereno. Pam married in 1965; she and her husband, Ruysuke Hasegawa, a Fullbright scholar, have two children, Sergei and Linnea. Pam’s photographs of families and individuals around the world have been used in text books and magazines. Her work has been exhibited in The American Club in Tokyo, Japan, Morristown Memorial Hospital, New Jersey, Morris County libraries, and The Newark Museum of Art. Her work is on permanent display at Morristown’s Cerulean Fine Art Gallery.
