About the Book
On the Edge of Greatness (But No Cigar) chronicles the life of Joe Campbell and the numerous ways he came to “the edge of greatness”—as a songwriter, as TV personality “Cowboy Joe,” as a TV correspondent reporting on world-changing events, as a radio and cable TV talk show host, as a writer and poet. Unfulfilled dreams and the tragedies of life played their role, but Campbell always could find another way to be successful and fulfilled. More than just a chronological biography, the book also delves into the worldview Campbell developed through his first-person experiences with psychic phenomena.
