About the Book

I will never forget that huge tree growing out of a prominent boulder. One could see it from a distance and it towered, no it loomed over the construction site. It provided protection from the blazing sun, it was a place of peace and serenity. I had never seen anything like that, why it seemed impossible....a tree with no apparent watering source, prospering, branches reaching out inviting one to come and sit under its sheltering boughs.. As amazing as that seemed it did something else for me, it seemed to set the spirit of the project. It was the first thing one noticed upon arrival and I always gave it one last look on returning to my living quarters. With the sun setting over it’s majestic branches it was something to see, beautiful and serene. It imprinted itself upon my mind and it seemed to represent what was going on right there in this very special place high up in the Andes. This project had no visible source of support, yet here it was growing daily, it’s red tiled roofs looming over all the surrounding territory and upon completion it will provide comfort, hope and shelter from this troublesome world through the inspired printed word of God.
