About the Book

Have you ever let something in your gut drive you over the edge? Have you ever lost everything in order to find nothing? Tammy, a married woman bordering somewhere between insecurity and total insanity, finds herself caught up in her own imagination. The story follows Tammy as she is certain she is on to something when she discovers a note while doing laundry. Knowing James, her husband, has lost patience with her interrogations, Tammy becomes determined to launch her own investigation. Tammy’s wildest imaginings could never have predicted what another note would contain that was actually intended for her. James, a simple and trusting husband, focused on continuing the success of his Newport Beach Marina business, has indulged Tammy’s weaknesses for years only to find out too late how wildly out of control her life has spiraled. Jake, an angry and resentful employee, with revenge on his mind, takes full advantage of the opportunity this odd couple presents for him. The author offers the reader the opportunity to learn the perspective of each character as the plot twists and turns right off of Pacific Coast Highway.

About the Author

Denise McCarthy has been writing since the age of eight. After six years of writing courses, Denise completed seven children’s books and published several poems. The Note is the first released novel. Denise resides in Dublin, California and is currently putting the finishing touches on her second novel.
