About the Book

I praise God for the opportunity to write this book. This has been a dream of mine since I was a young woman. I know now that it is never too late for God to fulfill a dream. God has brought me from the red clay of Alabama to the hollows of West Virginia to the city streets of New Jersey then to the suburbs. I thank God for my journey. My mother died when I was 11 years old. Through many dangers toils and snares I have already come. It was grace that has brought me safe thus far and grace will lead me on. I have made it by God’s grace, sometimes on broken pieces, sometimes on boards, sometimes with cardboard in my shoes, sometimes with no shoes at all, but I made it. I only asked for wisdom and God has given me the desires of my heart. Annece Miller

About the Author

My name is Iris Wiggins, I am the wife of Ivan Wiggins, the love of my life. I have three beautiful children, Iris Jeane, Ivan Angelo and Ivy Angelique Wiggins. My mother, Annece Miller, is a writer and I have been blessed to inherit her gift from God. I have two beautiful sisters and host of sisters and brothers in love and extended family and church family members who have encouraged me to keep writing and to follow my dream. I am blessed beyond measure to have a rich natural and spiritual heritage of strength and perseverance to know that “I can do all things through Christ.” My mother always told us that we have the strength of kings and queens in our wings and that nothing worthwhile comes easy.
