About the Book

Fred J. Mackerel, Roving Reporter is a fish! He is investigating the terrible problem of underwater pollution for WSEA “Tele-fishin” News. He hopes to become a very famous “news-fish” with his daring quest for the truth about those terrible polluting human beings that are turning the ocean into a sewer. Fred has always wanted to interview a human being even though there was a danger of being caught and cooked for dinner. Fred would gladly face those dangers in order to become a famous news-fish. He goes about interviewing different denizens of the deep, a nasty shark, motherly oyster and her baby Pearl, disgruntled crab, family of eels, blue whale, school of jacks, crying dolphin (because he can’t play football underwater), threatening octopus, and a protective blowfish. As Fred goes about seeking fame and fortune as a WSEA roving reporter, forces are at work to rob him of his dream. He finds himself at the worst possible polluted area and in great danger. His “camera-fish”, Snook, a likeable fish, films the interviews and puts up with Fred’s demands and his large ego. Greta Grouper is the “spokes-fish” for The “Fin-surance” Company and Sidney Seahorse is the dashing salty seahorse advertising The Seahorse Rental and Tour Guide Agency for the news program. Albacora Tuna is “Anchor-fish” of the “tele-fishin” news and gives her reports about the underwater happenings in the Atlantic Ocean. The story gives a “fish-eyed” view of pollution in the ocean and one mackerel’s quest for fame.

About the Author

I am a sixty-seven years old artist and writer. I have two grown sons, one a Downs syndrome, and both are the love of my life. I was a portrait artist most of my life. When I wasn’t painting people, I was painting Everglades scenes and commercial work. I have read the Bible since I was seven years old. Two years ago, after 60 years of study, I discovered the key that unlocks the secrets to the Bible’s truth. When I discovered the key to reading it, everything in the Bible that had always confused me as hearsay or someone’s imagination, became perfectly clear. I knew that people don’t usually write lies about something that is miraculous to them. They may exaggerate but they don’t usually lie. I discovered it was not a religious book at all, but a historical book. A magnificent event had taken place here on the earth, thousands of years before mankind was created.
