About the Book

Descriptions and original drawings in color or black and white characterize a range of selected dog breeds. They were selected to provide an interesting cross section of breeds. Most of them are pedigreed dogs. These examples provide a useful group that is intended to help the reader make an appropriate pet choice. They provide information about their temperament, and significant characteristics of over 50 dog breeds. Each breed has an original drawing by the author.

About the Author

Nancy lives in Richland, Washington with her husband Dick and two little Pomeranians, Rosie and Murphey. After raising six children, Nancy enrolled in college, majoring in Fine Arts. She also received a degree in Interior Design and worked in that field for a number of years. Nancy's art is original and focused on hand drawings, usually of dogs, but some other animals as well. Her pictures are rendered first in black and white and then usually in color. She uses the computer extensively to support her work. To date she has developed well over a hundred pictures, including many of the American Kennel Club breeds. Her work has been shown in numerous shows. Nancy likes to incorporate her art into unique and original furniture and accessory designs for the home.
