About the Book

Author Alan Reeve Captures A Different Look at Canada

New photo book features gorgeous photos of nature and wildlife that will entice readers to explore the exciting Canadian country

ALBERTA, Canada – (Release Date TBD) – Many people are unable to go on the great hiking adventures they read about in various books of the great Canadian Rockies. Realizing this, author Alan Reeve offers them A Different Look at Canada, which will take them on a visual tour from Fort McMurray, Alberta, to southern Alberta and British Columbia and then north to the Yukon and The Northwest Territories ending up in Inuvik.

Reeve and his wife are physically unable to go on treks because their knees cannot take the strain required to do the various climbs described in books. That does not deter them, however, from exploring many destinations by driving and taking many side trips without punishing their bodies. In A Different Look, the author has compiled wonderful photographs taken from various locations in and around Fort McMurray, Alberta, on the highways and byways of western Canada and on up into the Arctic. The scenery, flora and fauna in between and along the way are magnificent. There are also gorgeous images captured of the Northern Lights, which were taken on a back road only ten minutes from Reeve’s house.

Apart from the photos, this book also includes some tips and suggestions on how readers can get out there and enjoy the exciting Canadian country— the book encourages the readers to get out there and enjoy our exciting Canadian mountains from southern British Columbia and Alberta to the glorious north of the Yukon and Northwest Territories. With his beautiful images, Reeve hopes readers will now be encouraged to take that trip to Jasper or to Dawson City or Inuvik or any other place of their choice, and enjoy A Different Look at the great land of Canada.
