About the Book

This is a basketball story about a young girl and her new friends that through LISTENING, team work, hard-work, and practice overcame some difficult challenges together as a team. The moral of the story is that nothing is impossible if you want it and work well with others. It’s a great story for motivating young aspiring athletes.

About the Author

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Manuel Dovales, has been a great story teller since early childhood. Through incredible teachers and mentors he learned to use creative writing as an outlet to tell his stories. While telling stories to his two sons before bedtime he was inspired to publish some of his work. Manuel is a father, coach, MBA professional and former NCAA athlete. He still volunteers his time to a local high school varsity basketball program. “The greatest fulfillment I’ve ever experienced is watching young children develop an imagination through story-telling and sports. Then taking that energy and creativity to solve their own problems.” My goal in writing is to encourage kids and parents to embrace imagination and creativity in whatever challenges they’re encountering and continue to help develop future leaders.
