About the Author

Robert John Versteeg has been Director of Drama at Louisburg (North Carolina) College and Director of the Conservatory Acting Company at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Professional School of Theatre. He has acted and directed professionally. He received the Betty Smith Award for Best Original Play and a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities to study experimental theatre throughout the United States. A United Methodist minister who has twice received international awards for his preaching, Bob has performed his solo chancel dramas for more than 200 churches and on television. He is a frequent contributor to religious, dramatic, and literary journals.
