About the Book
Tom Corkin skips out of El Paso with a satchel full of money. The Virginian loves to work a scam, particularly on the carpetbaggers flourishing along the border. He is ambushed on the trail, and in a wild exchange of bullets, manages to drive off the bushwhackers. Who were they? Will they try again? In Escondido, he locks horns with Farrel O’Gara, power hungry rancher. In a wild gunfight he battles for his life, yet O’Gara remains untouched. Could this arrogant man’s greed be turned to Corkin’s advantage, or are six-guns the way to settle their dispute? Corkin ponders the question. And then, there’s the hidden gold.
