About the Author
Eloise Prescott is the Assistant Director for Career Planning at the Temple University Beasley School of Law. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Temple University. After college, she worked in a private school. Noticing that there were very few children’s books that contained pictures of African Americans or stories about African Americans (during the early seventies) she was encouraged to make up stories for the children. This experience inspired Eloise to write this storybook. Eloise lives in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania with her husband and children. Their oldest daughter teaches elementary school, a son and daughter are in college. Angela Smith is a Philadelphia native and a graduate of Moore College of Art and Design. She currently resides in Northern Liberties and is Director of Admissions at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
