About the Author

Nick Cianci is one of six children of Donato and Rigoletta, his immigrant parents. He attended public schools in South Philadelphia, worked as a barber with his father, served in the army in Korea; then, using the GI Bill, he attended LaSalle College, majoring in English/Education, which led to a teaching career. After ten years of teaching, he received a Masters Degree in Guidance at Villanova University and was a guidance counselor in a junior high school for three years. Ultimately, he decided to accept a principal’s position in the Interboro School District in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, not far from “South Philly” where he was born and raised. Currently, he is retired which affords him the time to enjoy the creativity of writing.
