About the Book

I was born in Davenport, Iowa, May 25 1942, where I grew up and still live. I am the sone of Clarence and Hazel Davis.

My family members are as follows:

1. Brother, Ron Davis ans wife Pat who have four girls and three boys. Ron and Pat live in Santos, Texas

2. Charlene Whitney – sister married to Bob with a son and daughter. Charlene Passed away December 12, 2002.

3. In 1962, I married Sally Scherz who has been my wife for over 40 years. Sally always encourages meto do what I want to do in life. Because of this I wrote this book.

4. Son, Davy Davis and wife Lina, grandson Brandonand grandaughter Rachel. They live in Muscatine, Iowa.

5. Daughter, Wendy Bartels and husbandTodd, grandsonZachary. They live in Davenport, Iowa.

6. Sister in Law, Susan Scherz, not married from Davenport Iowa.

I worked at Ralston Purina from 1967-2002 and am now retired.

I have coached Dad’s Club Softball since 1977.

About the Author

“Life is Too Short” is a book about living life. It is easy to read and understand. It started out to be just a paper about life to be given to a girls team that I coached in 1999 and 2000. I picked the subjects about life and, with the proper reaserch, I came up with a book about ideas about life. The girls that I dedicated this book to were given a copy of the book in the summer of 2002 when I coached them again. After they read the book I began to see positive changes in their attitudes.
