About the Book
In ³Angelica¹s Wish,² a modern day fairy tale, the author writes about the hardships experienced by unwanted cats. Overpopulation particularly of homeless animals is a great concern to her. She believes that educating the reader through this story may lead to the public¹s awareness of the problem. The elements of fantasy are used to get the reader¹s attention while presenting a point that is very real.
The story tells of a stray cat and her litter of kittens and their need to belong to a family. Humanizing Angelica the kitten, and Velvet her mother, helps the reader to empathize with their plight. The authors emotional involvement in the story line comes across to the reader and makes the story more real. ³Angelica¹s Wish² proves that their is a child in every adult and a lesson for everyone to learn at any age.
