About the Book

“No Time For Fears or Tears” is the enchanting and compelling story of Lisa Meechan, an eight-year-old child who is blinded in a bicycle accident. The story evolves around Lisa’s struggles during the next four years to learn to live and cope with her affliction. With the help of her loving parents, a black neighbor who is also blind, and her intense love for the horses on her father’s farm, Lisa manages to learn and benefit by her experiences. She is allowed to attend a summer camp for visually handicapped children and helps to teach other children how to handle their problems both physically and emotionally. Lisa’s favorite mare at the camp, Fiddlesticks, helps to save Lisa and her best friend from a terrible catastrophe but all is well that ends well. The fun and experiences Lisa and her friends share at the camp will warm the heartstrings of all who read and enjoy the story.

About the Author

Deloras Davis (Fountain) resides in Shalimar, FL where she lives and writes overlooking the beautiful waters of Garniers Bayou. She is the published author of the novel, “WAIT TO BE MY ANGEL”. She is the devoted mother of four children, Tommy, Randy, Clay Carmical and Lisa Franklin. She is also the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren. She is an accomplished horsewoman, business woman, trained Nurse Technician, an Eleventh Hour Hospice Volunteer and a member of the American Business Women’s Association.
