Synopsis

Elizabeth Darrow-Volker Liz lives in La Jolla, California. She has been married to Dr. Fritz Volker, San Diego’s top plastic surgeon for thirty-five years.

She finds her husband with another woman half his age, whom he made over, to be a clone of Liz thirty-five years ago. Shocked and devastated after a messy divorce she finds her life pulled apart piece by piece and tainted. She attempts to start over but where and how do you begin? Fate causes her path to cross with Bill Quinn who falls madly in love with her, but could she ever find the courage to trust and love again?

Angelene Scaldino Annie lives in a brownstone in Brooklyn New York. She had been married to Vincente Scaldino a New York Police Sargent for almost as long as she can remember, and has two grown children. The terrorist attack on the twin towers September 11 would change her life forever. Annie knew little about independence, working outside the home or facing the real world. About the Author

Kathryn Enlow is the author of numerous romance novels including, Love Without Regret, The Greek Connection, Destination Unknown, Shadows of Suspicion, The Ties That Bind, Greek Connection-Rewrite, The Ranch, Shattered Dreams. These are full-length contemporary fiction. Kathryn lives in Southern California, and loves early morning walks on the beach with Chamonix, and Monty her two Newfoundland grand-dogs. When she is not writing, she is traveling, thus making her writing more flavorful and exotic. I wrote Shattered Dreams at the urging of my good friends and many fans, who felt that more attention should be paid to what we might call mature women of 55 plus, who refuse to be labeled “seniors in their golden years.”
