About the Author
Dennis Leslie spent 16 years coming up through the ranks of sales and marketing management and general management in several small, medium and large sized manufacturing and service firms before becoming a consultant. He learned the good, the bad and the ugly of strategic planning in the trenches. As a consultant since 1989, he has focused solely on strategy development, working with hundreds of clients in a wide variety of settings including manufacturing, distribution, construction and service firms. His client list includes public and private firms, ranging from emerging entrepreneurial firms to large billion dollar enterprises. He has also worked with state governments, associations and not-for-profit organizations as well. He has been an adjunct member of the faculty at the graduate school of business at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota since 1991. He has taught over 36 courses of strategy development and implementation to over 700 managers in their Executive MBA. He received his BSBA with honors from the University of Florida. He received his MBA with highest honors from the school of business at the University of Minnesota, now called the Carlson School of Management. He has been published in the Journal of Marketing Research, the Northwestern Financial Review and the Minneapolis Star Tribune. He lives with his wife Lori and his two dogs in Minnesota on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. He is an avid nature lover, scuba diver and golfer.
