About the Book
A widow living on an Oklahoma farm sees her sons go to war. Four served in World War II. The oldest was with the 45th Division in battles from Sicily to the end in Germany. Three younger brothers also served in World War II, each in a different group.
The youngest son had to take over the farm work at age 13. Later, he was called into service in Korea.
In their letters to Mother they try to encourage her - insisting they are O.K.
