About the Book

This novel is the heartbreakingly honest story of one girl´s coming-of-age. Emma Brown, who is born into a seemingly privileged world, is abandoned by both of her parents at an early age. She is raised by a kind stranger, and her ancestry is kept secret. As Emma matures, she begins to piece together the mystery of her past. Hers is a story of struggle -- and survival -- in a chaotic and sometimes frightening world. Emma´s story details 50 years in the life of a woman whose future once appeared so bleak. Emma´s kind spirit and intelligence carry her through the darkness and toward the peaceful existence she has sought for so long.

About the Author

Christopher Jones currently lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He has lived in England, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Israel and the Dominican Republic. At the time of writing this novel, he was a Management Intern at one of the nation’s largest auto insurance companies.
