About the Book
After eight years Jennifer Delaney’s marriage to Prime Ministerial candidate, Gordon Delaney, is over. It’s been eight years of battling to maintain her identity, and dealing with the terse situation brought about by Gordon’s political agenda. As leader of the Opposition government on the Caribbean Island of Caricardos, he is determined to wrest economic control from descendants of European settlers and restore it to the native Carib people. Events take a turn for the worse when key officials of the Caricardos Labor Party begin to vanish.
To escape the turmoil Jennifer severs her ties with the CLP, and goes to work for Owen Carey of Royal Tours. But Gordon is not yet prepared to relinquish control of his wife, and as she and Owen become close, Jennifer fears that their interracial relationship may cause tensions to explode!
