About the Book
George de Mare is the author of 9 books. His Corporate Lives, first in a series of studies of American lifestyles was the main selection of the Fortune Book Club in 1976. His first novel, The Empire published in 1956 created major controversy in the business world. His Communicating at the Top published in two editions in 1968 and 1976, while he was Director of Communications and Publications at Price Waterhouse, was called "the classic" in the field. He is a fellow and former President of the international Association of Business Communicators, former director of the Industrial Communications Council. A graduate of Andover and Yale, where he was editor of the Yale "Lit", Mr. de Mare was born in Denver, Colorado and presently lives in Saugerties, New York.
