About the Book
Love and Murder
Gaby Bernard is working in a routine legal job at FBI headquarters when she is mysteriously selected for a field assignment. Quickly moving from dull to dangerous, she joins a handsome Russian Interpol agent in search of the almost mythical killer for hire known by the code name Mechanic. A trail of victims leads the pair on a cross-country chase for both the assassin and his next intended target – the head of the Russian crime family in America. To save her job, and perhaps her life, she must capture the Mechanic and unravel a mystery leading all the way back to the end of the Cold War, even as she fights some unprofessional feelings toward her enigmatic new partner.
About the Author
Daniel Johnson lives where he has always lived - in the Memphis Tennessee area – very happily with his wife, Ruth, and much less contentedly with a cat named Maggie. After a number of assorted careers, he prefers to write about some of the darker occupations that he managed to avoid and some of the adventure that has, for the moment, completely eluded him.
