About the Author

Jonathan M. Sweet’s previous published works include last year’s Almasheol and several columns for The Arkansas State University Herald (1996-1997). His poem, “When One-and-Twenty”, took Honorable Mention in the annual Famous Poets competition (2002). He was born in Chicago and has lived much of his life tucked away under the Missouri Bootheel. When not writing he spends his time trying and selling Melaleuca products and tending faithfully to his mother’s two cats, Tiger and Precious, and her nearly-blind poodle Pierre.
