Murder in the sanctity of a retirement community is not a manifestation of the good life anticipated by retirees. Worse luck when the residents at Clearview become entangled in a mysterious sequence of not one but three unnatural deaths. Enter gruff but good-hearted Tony O’Toole, retired detective posing as a resident, to protect Molly Stone, no-nonsense retired nurse, and Kate Cameron, free-spirited artist, intended victims. At first, the women resent his presence but grow to appreciate him as he saves them from additional threats. Finally, in a dramatic confrontation, Tony captures the killer. As he prepares to leave, Molly sadly realizes her feelings for Tony run deep. Then he announces his intention to become a permanent resident.

About the Author

Lynn Buck lives in a Quaker retirement community in the rolling hills near Baltimore. With a cat for company and the doings of her neighbors to add glamour, spice, and mystery to her life and a certain realism to her writings, she is content. Drawing upon the benefits of a B.A. and M.A. from Washington University, St. Louis, and Ph.D. from Stony Brook University, New York, Lynn writes stories with the same studied approach that her cat employs to lesser prey. Lynn’s publications include two novels, Eccentric Circles and Amanda’s House, and two books of poetry. Unlike his mistress, Tiger Rag has not recorded the ways of his life, no doubt in the belief that one writer in a family is sufficient.
