About the Book
George Denton, age 66 sells out his business and retires. His wife dies suddenly. He is slow to adjust and his friends urge him to find other interests than just golf. He reluctantly decides to help people who are struggling and need financial advice. This leads to meeting a young woman of 24 with a handicapped child. He becomes enamored. Her ex-boyfriend is killed and George Denton becomes a suspect. He finds he has gotten into more than he bargained for with this young woman.
About the Author
For nearly 30 years Jerold W. Ross was a corporate executive, management consultant and turnaround manager. He not only reorganized divisions of conglomerates, but worked with companies of all sizes as well as buying into some of them. This profession enabled him to experience a wide variety of activities, such as: acquisitions, mergers; building new plants, office buildings, and apartment complexes; developing new products and markets: negotiating with labor unions; and recruiting and hiring top management executives. Mr. Ross has served on the boards of six companies, an opera, a college, a large condominium, and was the trustee of record for a multimillion dollar employee profit sharing retirement trust. He has given more than 50 seminars on executive management from coast to coast for numerous associations. For the past 24 years he has been married to Lee Dougherty, a professional soprano, voice teacher and pianist who has appeared on the Broadway stage, at Carnegie Hall, and the White House as well as most cities in the US and abroad. They have eight grown children and live on Lido Beach in Sarasota, Florida. Mr. Ross is a member of the Harvard Club - Sarasota Chapter, The Society of Mayflower Descendants, and the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Prestancia. He and his wife founded The Artist Series of Sarasota, now in its tenth year, bringing outstanding classical singers and musicians to Sarasota to perform at Symphony Hall.
