About the Book
The book is a collection of anecdotes and scenes from the author’s earliest memory to the present. He takes us from Strawberry Mansion in Philadelphia to Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg. Along the way we hear about a pow-wow, a coal pile and a silver cup, a famous dog, a national championship wrestling team, and smokejumping – stories related with modesty and humor.
About the Author
Ben Conner is a former electronics marketing executive who spent the early years of his retirement traveling to far parts of the globe. His love of adventure began during World War II when he learned to hunt with the Arawak Indians while stationed in a remote outpost in British Guiana, South America. Ben earned a B.A. degree at Cornell College in Iowa and an L.L.B. degree at New York University. He and his wife Marcia have three children and eight grandchildren. He hopes this book will encourage others to make their dreams of adventure travel come true.
