About the Author

I was born in Tyre, a small town in western Pennsylvania. I was the fourth child of a coal miner, born to a family of 2l births. As a child, I was raped. When I was 17, my mother passed away in labor. Soon I started raising my younger siblings. Because of this, I never finished school and was homeless a year later. I married at 21, and had ten children. My life has been a hard one, and also my drive for writing this book. I want to inspire people and let them know that no matter how hard life is, they can make it.
