About the Author
Lorraine Logsdon-Callis grew up in River Edge, New Jersey. She graduated from River Dell Regional High School in 1965. She received her B.A. in Social Science from Chadron State College, Chadron, Nebraska in 1969. In 1973, she received her B.S. in Education from the University of Toledo. Mrs. Logsdon-Callis taught high school American History, World History, Economics, Geography, and American Government for Toledo Public Schools. She was nominated for Who’s Who among American Teachers in 1987, 1991, 1994, and 1997. In 1998, she was a semi-finalist for the Disney Excellence in Education Award. Also in 1998, she became Dean of Students at Waite High School until her retirement in 2005. After 27 years in education, Mrs. Logsdon-Callis retired to complete the book, “A FISH OUT OF WATER.” Besides writing about Adam, she is also passionate about the Lakota Sioux culture.
