WINDS OF DESTINY SERENADE By Mayvis B. Gorst Bobby and Bonnie Kelly endured many tragedies as young children – witnessing their father’s murder, being kidnapped, and being left for dead in the woods. With the love and support of their mother, grandparents and their stepfather – who adopted them, they have grown up virtually unscathed by their pasts. Bonnie and Bobby’s future is bright and they are well on their way to fulfilling their dreams. Bonnie’s biggest dream is to play in a New York symphony, and with the help of her music teacher, she just might make it. Bobby, on the other-hand, is embarking on a life in the priesthood and remains much to himself and dedicates most of his time to his studies. The disappearance of Bradley Nevens, the robbery that lands her stepfather in the hospital and the loss of another loved one sends Bonnie through a whirlwind of emotions. One by one, each tragedy takes a toll on her, and she turns to her family, especially Bobby, for support and encouragement to make it through. Follow these two as they face life’s obstacle course determined not to let it hinder their dreams.

About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mayvis B. Gorst was born and raised in Wisconsin and has lived in Oklahoma, Missouri, and California. Mrs. Gorst worked for thirty years in patient care professions, including respiratory therapy and visiting nurse. She also took care of more than two hundred children as a foster mother during a ten year period. Out of her experiences with her patients and foster children, she created the characters in Winds of Destiny, which fulfilled a life-long ambition to become a novelist. This is Mrs. Gorst’s first book.
