About the Book

Seashell Magic is an imaginative story of a lonely little girl who lives with her parents on a warm, sandy beach. The waves of the Sapphire Sea meet the tranquil shore where Sara plays. While building a sand castle one day, she finds an interesting key that sparks her wildest imagination. Sara has always dreamed of venturing underwater and finding a treasure of jewels and gold. She feels confident the key will open a giant treasure chest on the bottom of the sea. When the sun rises the next morning, she jumps off the pier into the murky depths of the briny sea. When she reaches the ocean’s floor she enters a world she has only dreamed of until now. She meets many friendly sea creatures and a few scary ones, too. The most astounding thing about her diving adventure is meeting Serena, a lovely mermaid with a serious problem. Sara and Serena become best friends and share this magical adventure. The awesome creativity of Joe Salas, breathes life, beauty, and realism into the story of Seashell Magic.
