About the Book
Short Hops was originally conceived as a series of short stories to be published separately in Flying Magazines and periodicals pertaining to personal aviation experiences in the US Air Force, the US Army Infantry and the commercial helicopter industry. Now in chronological order for the readers' enjoyment, it starts with a childhood desire to become a flyer, chronicles true incidents in the life of a flyer who earns his coveted Air Force wings of silver, transitions into Army Aviation with its changing tactics and training, which results in receiving the Master Army Aviator's badge and the highest civilian Air Transport ratings.
