About the Book
A child born out of wedlock in a fundamental religious society early on learns the role he plays. Honus the boy remembers his childhood by events, episodes, if you will. Reality is concentrated in moments of intense joy, sorrow, fury, anger; and every so often in desolation, vengeance, fright, and also hope. Always there was the love and loyalty to the people and creatures that were part of his life.
About the Author
The author was born in Minnesota, attended school there as a child. He and his mother came to California where he attended elementary and high school. He was a WWII graduate of Kings Point, the Merchant Marine Academy. After sea duty, he returned to California where he attended Whittier College; then becoming a teacher and a secondary school principal. He is retired and lives in Long Beach, California.
