About the Book

Me and My Dog Petey, is written to show the exciting experiences that my family and I had when I found a cute little puppy that we later named Petey. You will share our excitement during many of our happy and surprising times. You will see the impact that Petey had on us when we first met him. You will laugh during Petey’s training to be home alone as well as watching him grow to be a real part of the family. These series of books will highlight the importance of not just spending time with your pet, but also being a responsible pet owner. Having Petey as part of the family drew us closer together during some of the sad and scary moments. So, you may shed some tears when reading certain episodes. As we get older our lives change. You will walk through this cycle of life with me, as I go from preteen years with my new found pet, to adulthood and all that came along with it. There is the humor of potty training a puppy so he can be home alone, to how he grows up to become a family protector and friend. Raising a pup is a lot of work. However, with raising Petey, it was a family project. Therefore, Petey gave our lives an added dimension what we would have never experienced without him. You will see how Petey played an enormous role in our lives and how much he meant to us. So read on and enjoy the adventures.

Mi nombre es Ricky K Simms. Nací en Newark, New Jersey. Allí viví con mis padres, mi hermano, dos hermanas, y mi perro Petey. En 1980 me case, y mi esposa y yo criamos cuatro niños.
