About the Author
Born May 29th, 1945 in Kingston, Jamaica. Attended elementary school in New York City. Secondary school: Jamaica College in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. He earned his A.B. (1967) and M.D. (1971) degrees from Stanford University. Board certified in Internal Medicine in 1976. Began writing poetry at 12 years of age.
