About the Book
Anne Pierce is the grandmother of Elizabeth Anne Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina, who at the age of 6 was the original “Little Angel with the Biggest Wings”. Elizabeth Anne’s wings were made by her mother for a Christmas play at her church. The wings of cardboard, covered with aluminum foil, were so large that maneuvering in and out of the pews and taking her place at the manger scene was very difficult for her… and quite amusing to the congregation. This little story was inspired by her sweet dilemma. The story also tells us that though we may be different in some way, God has a purpose and need for everyone.
