About the Book
This is a small book, but powerful. The book is about how I, as a Vietnam vet, see the world of the ghetto. What I see happening to good people as they cannot get any help. It is as if they have no way out. How do our own black people see us? How can we turn things around? Also, the book talks about what we don’t talk about in the ghetto. That’s why I am naming the book The Unspoken. What the world don´t talk about.
About the Author
The author: my name is John When I was born, I lost my mother; my family pitched in and raised me. When I was eighteen years old, I joined the Marine Corps. I was sent to Vietnam as an infantryman. After I finished my service, I traveled to many states and cities. I met many people who were struggling to make a living. A lot of these people needed to go to the food bank for their food since they did not have any money to buy food for themselves. I worked for the postal service for seventeen years. I have retired for medical reasons. I struggle every day, but I’m holding on.
