About the Book

Most authors of poetry books are inspired by events that take place in their life. Whether it may be the loss or gain of loved ones, love and hate that surround us. Poetry is the most common form of expressing inner thoughts and emotions. We all relate to each other in one way or another, but sometimes we need something to inspire us to express ourselves in a way that others have a better understanding of. In this book Passages of My Heart the author has hopes of reaching out to readers who relate to some of the poetry in this book. After all, isn´t that what poetry is about? Poetry is written out of the context of life´s disappointments, love, deception, depression, loss and gain of loved ones and broken hearts. For some, life has been an emotional roller coaster with many ups and downs. It´s about reaching out to others who feel the same way but may not know how to express themselves. You will find in this book many poems written from the heart of the author on many topics. The author hopes the readers find as much enjoyment in their reading as the author had found in writing it.

About the Author

Kelley L. Sherman was born the eldest of six children in her family in Buffalo, New York and grew up with her parents and five sisters in Sarasota, Florida. She attended high school at Sarasota High School. And is now a divorced, single mother of a teenage son residing with her in North Port, Florida. The majority of her poetry's inspiration was derived from her son, family members, life experiences and personal beliefs. Her poetry is used in a way to express herself and her emotions regarding the people who leave footprints in her life.
