About the Author

Hattie Phillips, retired in 1990, after 20 years of successfully teaching second graders at Beall Elementary School, Montgomery County District, Rockville, Maryland. She now lives in Los Angeles, California. A graduate of Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, Mrs. Phillips has enjoyed the careers of wife, mother, teacher, and educator. Currently, she is an avid traveler and writer. Mrs. Phillips believes retirement offers the perfect opportunity to fulfill her penchant for the pen and has excitedly embarked upon a full time careers as a writer. Mrs. Phillips has published several poems and written her own line of greeting cards. She has also published two other best selling books, “The Animal Picnic,” for children and and adult book on Grief.
