About the Author

I am a native Texan and a mother of three children. I graduated in 1988, earning an Associates degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. I have worked for University Health System for 20 years as a Technologist and in 2007; I earned my degree in Business Management through the University of Phoenix. I continue my career in the field of Laboratory Sciences.
