About the Author Born in Birmingham, AL. Raised in several cities such as Detroit, Michigan, Harlem, New York with the majority of the time being spent in Newark, NJ. Presently residing in the Atlanta, GA, area. A student of Saint Roccos Elementary, Saint Benedicts Prep both of Newark, NJ. A graduate of Clifford J. Scott High School in East Orange, NJ. Also an attendee at the former Tuskegee Institute. In later years, becoming an incarcerated individual in the New Jersey Penal System. Thus many of these poems were penned while incarcerated. One poem, “Slow Killer,” from the compilation was placed as a semi-finalist and published by the National Library of Poetry in a book titled The Path Not Taken along with other poems from around the world. This was a personal accomplishment that was humbly accepted.
