About the Author
George Carleton was born in Clarke County, Alabama in 1945. After graduating from the University of Alabama he worked at the family newspaper for several years, and then moved to Orange Beach, AL where he owned and operated a charter fishing boat for fifteen years. Since 1988 he has been the owner and sole photographer at his studio, Carleton Photography. He spends as much time as he can at Piney Woods and continues to keep his journal.
