About the Book

It was one sunny day, while walking in the field, when Jenny saw a big black horse. She really wished to have her own horse, but she knew she couldn’t. Her father told her that they could not afford to buy a horse and thinking about the fact that she is very young to work, she needed to find another way to get herself one. Jenny never gave up and she prayed every night for a miracle even if she thought it probably wouldn’t happen.

However, Jenny didn’t stop wishing and hoping that one day she could have a horse. She walked to the field everyday where the big black horse roamed and she would talk to her new friend. Later on, she named the horse Misty and they became good friends. But several months later, she noticed that Misty was not as playful as she was before. Jenny was worried so she told her parents about the situation. To her surprise, her dad told her that Misty was going to have a colt and the fact that Misty was a wild horse, her colt could belong to whoever claims it. Jenny was very excited to claim Misty’s colt. She already named it Star before it was even born, promising that she would take care of the it.

On a summer day, Star was born and as Jenny promised her dad, she went out to the field everyday to take care of Star. Jenny was very happy that her prayers have been answered. They became best of friends—and each day their friendship grew deeper. They knew that their friendship would last forever.
